Ubuntu Server Development Summary – 4 Aug 2017


The purpose of this communication is to provide a status update and highlights for any interesting subjects from the Ubuntu Server Team. Spotlight: git ubuntu clone

The second post in the series about ‘git ubuntu’ was published this week.
Nish Aravamudan discusses git ubuntu clone and what imported repositories are and what they look like.

cloud-init and curtin

cloud-init

  • Scott Moser made two demos of using Ubuntu and Debian cloud images, KVM, and cloud-init together to customize an instance.
  • Fallback on timesyncd configuration if ntp is not installable (LP: #1686485)
  • Fix /etc/resolve.conf comment added on each reboot (LP: #1701420)
  • Fix integration test building local tree

curtin

  • Removed CentOS curthooks flags
  • Disabled yum plugins during install
